Who Can Join
Stockton Art League membership is open to artists, patrons, educators, students, and community members who support the arts in San Joaquin County.
Exhibiting opportunities are available to current members and are guided by gallery standards and available space. Some exhibitions may have additional guidelines.
Whatâs Ahead
63rd Juried Exhibition
The 63rd Stockton Art League Juried Exhibition will be presented at the Haggin Museum in SeptemberâOctober.
StateâLocal Partner Work
Stockton Art League is currently serving as a StateâLocal Partner (SLP) mentee and is pursuing designation by September. This is long-term, county-wide workâit will take a collective effort to ensure this work lasts, and we look forward to the challenge.
Membership Benefits
There are two ways to be part of Stockton Art League: as a supporter of the arts across San Joaquin County, or as an exhibiting member who shows work in the Elsie May Goodwin Gallery. Every membership includes the perks below — exhibiting members get additional benefits, detailed further down.

Exhibiting Membership
Want to show your own work? Exhibiting members can participate in our (6) bi-monthly member shows and 12 “Artist of the Month” features each year at the Elsie May Goodwin Gallery. To show in the gallery, artists must be current members (except during juried and invitational shows).
Member Show Entry Options
Per artist, in any combination:
- (4) wall-hanging artworks ($5/entry)
- (10) three-dimensional works ($14)
- (15) matted artworks ($14)
- Jewelry and textiles ($14)
Note: No hanging fees in 2026.
Participation Notes
All artwork must be for sale and be the artist’s original work. Artwork displayed is at the discretion of the Gallery Director.
Sales are split on a 70% / 30% commission structure, calculated after merchant processing fees, which typically results in approximately 68.5% commission to the artist.
Participation in member shows includes helping staff the gallery for 2 hours per month. Members may also request to be Artist of the Month.
